Frequently Asked Questions:

Being completely unique in the medical payer environment - lots of questions come up.. Here are just a few. Reach out with all of YOUR questions!

- How does a Global Medevac membership work when I am traveling?

While traveling domestically and you are more than 100 miles from your home, your Global Medevac membership provides you with unparalleled protection against emergency medical transportation costs. If you have a medical emergency, simply call 911 to get you or your family member the emergency medical care they need. Once you have received emergency care to stabilize your condition, you, a family member or health care provider simply places a call to Global Medevac. Our team of experienced professionals will go to work on your behalf. We will work with you and your physician to maximize your Global Medevac benefits.

If you are traveling internationally, we simply ask for a copy of your itinerary at least 10 days prior to departure. This allows us to be prepared should you require assistance while in a foreign country.

- Who makes the decision if I am going to be transported by an emergency air ambulance?

The decision to utilize an emergency air ambulance is made by a first responder who is providing care at the scene of the medical event or accident. Additionally, your physician may make the decision that your condition requires higher level of care and that air ambulance is the best method of transportation.

- How do I get back home after I am hospitalized?

When you, your family member or health care provider calls Global Medevac to let us know that you have been admitted to a facility, we will maintain contact with them and with you in order to maximize your benefits. You will have the peace of mind knowing that when you are being discharged, we have arranged for your trip home.

There are so many benefits to joining Global Medevac. If you have questions, reach out, I am more than happy to answer them.
